The Voices Inside My Head

60 days

as we were celebrating the leaving of a coworker, we were sadened by the realization that we could get our 60 days notice at any time. any freaking time. Idealy they wait till the holidays are over, since it will be harder to locate new employment as of then. Their are now officially less of us in Cali then in Texas, and all left in cali aren't going. sad sad day. I mean, yes i am happy about leaving, but I would like to have something lined up.

oh and its still raining

Rain drops keep falling on my head

After 182 days of no rain, its been raining since Sunday morning. Oh the wonder. Its cool and crisp out, the streets are all shining with puddles, the backyard is gloriously green, and the front yard, well its trying.

I love the rain. Bring it on El Nino, I'm ready for you. Of Course I don't currently drive to work, but what the heck.

Wonder if we could get some thunder and lightening while we are at it?

Its finally Friday!!

Thank goodness.

We are helping my parents install their new "ikea" hardwood floor this weekend in their bedroom. My mom is labeling it a family get togther. While we will all be there (me, Hubby, Bro 1 and bro 2), Hopefully it will not lead to any bloodshed. Wait, this is my family, so someone will get cut, or bruised or wind up with some gash in a leg without knowing its origin, but we should be alive afterwards. If we weren't walking disasters already, mom wants me to bring beer, and she will make chili. Now I don't know about you, but being stuck in a 20 x 17 room with my hubby, two brothers, and dad after they have been drinking beer and eating chili is not on my list of "must do" activities. Hope the weather is warm tomorrow, since all the doors and windows to the room will be wide open.

Sunday should be better, my team has a morning game and its Televised. Black outs suck donkey****.

I really need to get my ass to the used book store, I could really use some trashy contemporary romances novels to relax me afterwork.

Oh, the "oral exam" for a position at school was easy. 8 basic questions to do with computers, networking and handling 3 different types of people with issues. After I answered a few of the techinical questions, I looked at the moderators, and could read it in their minds "she may be overqualified". At least they keep this on file, and try to match you with a position if possible.

Examinations

What kind of job requires an oral examination? Is this similar to an interview, only if you don't answer the questions right, you fail? It must be some sort of School District type of thing. I've printed out the job discription, and have been studing it religiously in an attempt to win the position. My only fear is that they neglected to read the "minimum salary" portion of my online application, and will want to hire me for much less.
Its definetly the kind of position I want. Laid back, low key, holidays off, working in schools, and better benies. I fear I may miss the fast paced environment that i have become acustomed to, NAH who am I kidding. Hopefully the hours worked will help in the quest to get a degree in my field.

The front yard is seriously in need of color. The dead grass look is sooo last year. I'm thinking of replacing the unknown tree in our yard, with a verigated phycus depending on the root structure. We have to till the front up anyways, to replace the BAD sprinkler system from the previous owners, and plant grass. any thooughts.

Does getting married, and hearing about other peoples new babies, automatically turn your an internal banner ad in your head on that reads "I WANT A BABY!!"?
